WHO Reports 12,200 deaths of H1N1
At least 12,220 people have died as a result of swine flu was confirmed by the World Health Organization. The report showed that on December 27 deaths were up by 700 cases from the previous week. The previous week had also registered an increase by 1500 deaths.
The report of the organization also said most active transmission of the disease took place in areas of Central and Eastern Europe. Also, in other parts of Eastern and Southern Europe, including Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine and the Russian Urals region respiratory infections spread as well as seasonal flu widely spread.
