Share |

United Nations announced in its latest report that desertification and soil erosion hit about one quarter of the farmland or 3.6 billion hectares of land worldwide which had an adverse impact on one billion people on Earth.

The report showed also that Africa is the most affected by desertification as nearly 12 million hectares of agricultural land turns into desert annually due the usage of non-modern agricultural methods and increase in the process of deforestation next to the irrational management of water.
