It seems that Egyptians will go ahead with the new constitution offered by Muslim-dominated assembly, where preliminary results showed that 64% voted in favor of the constitution while 36% against.
The first round of voting was last week, while the second round of the poll ended on Saturday in 17 provinces loyal to President Mohamed Morsi. Noting that, the final official result will be announced on Tuesday.
On the other side, the opposition National Salvation Front is demanding for an inquiry into alleged voting fraud, because the Islamists opened the stations late and tried to influence voters.
Amr Hamzawy the Opposition spokesman said in news conference: “We are asking the commission to investigate the irregularities before announcing official results".
During the voting, Egypt has seen large and occasionally violent demonstrations by the opposing sides.
